Neither does thereappear to be any real foundation for the assertions of Dr. Tytler (Lancet, 1833-4, vol. 1.), thatmalignant cholera (which he calls morbus oryzeus.) is induced by it. 2. Common Millet {Panicum miliaceum, fig. 130), and Italian Millet (Setaria itahca), arccultivated in Italy as articles of food. 3. Maize or Indian Corn (Zea Mays, fig. 131) is nutritive; but being deficient in gluten, isnot adapted for manufacture into bread. It is apt to occasion diarrhoea in those unaccustomed toit.
