Europe Italy Piedmont Turin Panorama with Mole Antonelliana Europe Italy Piedmont Turin Panorama with Mole Antonelliana The construction of the famous Mole began in 1863. Originally it was to become the temple of the Israelite Community of Novara in Turin which asked the engineer to maximize the space available and with the least possible cost. For reasons of economy, Antonelli avoided the use of iron, using the system of traditional building materials and separating from the outer skeleton of the building. Finally built a double dome shell (to lighten the load further) that enabled him to raise it up to 167 m well (today is the tallest masonry dome in Europe!). We can call it a masterpiece of modern architecture and engineering that Antonelli had experienced in the town of Novara, where he presented the project for the construction of the dome of San Gaudenzio. Here, while the body of the church is lost, surrounded by the buildings of the city, the dome emerges in height, so divendo, a point of reference. The relationship with the city became more closely with the construction of the Mole, but prices became so high that gave the Jewish community building in 1877. The view from above the city must leave you breathless and the opening of the Museum of Cinema in 1996 provides another good excuse to visit Torino and its wheels. © Realy Easy Star / Toni Spagone

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
