A. róseum') L. Roze melde (fi),'. 130). Deze plant is meer witschilferit,' en heeft een meestal rechtopRaanden, uitgespreid vertakten slen),'el. De bladen staan verspreid, zijn eirond, bijna ruitvormig, ongelijk getand, naar den voet gaafrandig, de hoogere zijn lancetvormig. De bloemen vormen bijna tot aan den top bebladerde schijnaren en deze staan meest in de oksels der bovenste bladen. De s:hutbladen zijn breed eirond-driehoekig, zijn meest getand, ten slotte meest knobbelig, tot aan het midden vergroeid en bij rijpheid kraakbeenachtig hard, wit. De zaden zijn niet gesnaveld, donkerbruin, als zij rijp zijn, glanzend. •. 3—9 dM. Juli—September. Voorkomen in Europa en in Nederland. De plant komt op zandige plaatsen en puinhoopen in Europa voor, doch Atnpioi roseum is bij ons alleen bij Rotterdam gevonden. Fig. I30.. Familie 31. Amarantaceae Juss. Amarantachtigen. Bladen verspreid of tegenoverstaand, meest gesteeld, ongedeeld, zonder steunbladen. Bloemen 2- of 1-slachtig, vaak veeltelig. Bloemdek 3-5-deelig of-bladig, meest droogvliezig, vrij vaak gekleurd, blijvend. Meeldraden 3-5, op een onderstandigen ring ingeplant, voor de bloemdekslippen staand, met naar binnen openspringende helmhokjes. Vruchtbeginsel met 1 (inlandsche soorten) of meer bodemstandige, rechtopstaande, omgekeerde eitjes, met 2-4 gescheiden of verbonden stijlen. Vrucht 1- of meerzadig, niet of overdwars openspringend. Tabel tot het determineeren der geslachten der Amarantaceae. A. Bladen eirond tot lancetvormig, uit een schijf en een stee! bestaand. Bloemen meest vele bijeen. a. Meeldraden 5, zelden 3.
