English: Detailed construction sketch; cross-section of the railway hall (platform roof) of the 'Antwerp Central' (Dutch: 'Antwerpen-Centraal') railway station. On the left side is the side of the street 'Pelikaanstraat', en on the right side is the side of the Antwerp Zoo. A lot of attention was paid to the foundation of the arches: blocks of 3 by 4.5 meters, at a depth of three meters below the street level. The formwork, a frame consisting of vertically placed oak beams, also functioned as a reinforcement.
